Ease of use and decreased costs of modern solid state lasers made Lightwave International the right visual and budgetary choice for Cowboys & Aliens starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde.
With minimal rigging requirements and lightweight design Lightwave’s laser equipment was able to fill several special effect roles throughout the film.
Filming in dusty, high heat environments with lasers flying across the sky used to be a challenge with previous technology. Current laser projectors offered by Lightwave International provide millions of colors while utilizing internal climate control and air filtration to remain functional on the harshest sets. Machined yolks and multiple mounting locations allow Lightwave International laser equipment to be used on traditional stages or unique applications like Cowboys & Aliens.
